It was a breath of fresh air revisiting Sarra Manning’s world of young adult novels. Following the main character, Bea, on her travels is enough to make the reader want to be (excuse the pun!) – or even feel that they are – in those places. (My longing for Parisian soil has never been stronger.) My only fault with the book is that the ending didn’t feel as strong as the other parts. Without trying to spoil the plot, it begins to feel this way towards the end of Bea’s main adventure.
But, nonetheless, I’m happy to be reunited once again with Manning’s taste for fictional life. This book is more than worth the read for travel, romance and young adult novel lovers alike!
